Description
This course provides a study of biological concepts relating to microorganisms, which includes the morphology, anatomy, physiology, growth, metabolism, nutrition, control, and identification of various microbes. Lab exercises include staining procedures, media preparation, pure culture techniques, and culture identification. This course is a requirement for nursing intent majors and recommended for science majors and should be taken after Bio 162 - Anatomy & Physiology I or Bio 162- General Biology I and CHE 110 - Introductory to Chemistry, or CHE 164 - General Chemistry I, have been successfully completed.
