Description

This course focuses on the works of major authors from the late-nineteenth century to the recent past. Students will also examine significant movements of American literature in the twentieth century, beginning with naturalism and progressing to postmodernism. Authors whose works will be studied include Bierce, Chopin, London, Stevens, Frost, Eliot, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Faulkner, Miller, Hughes, O’Connor, and Carver.
