Description
This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of soil genesis and formation, soil orders, and parent material. Fundamentals of Ph dependency in soil, microbiology and chemistry in soil, as well as soil classification and mapping will be examined. Students will learn how to take soil samples, how to make amendments based on soil fertility and different plant nutrients and their availability in soil. This course will cover the fundamentals of nutrients in soil, acceptable nutrient levels in soil, color coding soil, and reading yield monitor graphs.
