All students are requested to submit their social security number as part of the application process. Your social security is used for federal reporting purposes and otherwise is confidential data. While WCCC will not deny a student admission to the College without a social security number, we are required by the federal government to request this information. Individuals who do not submit this information are not eligible to receive financial aid and will not be issued a 1098-T form (which allows the taxpayer to claim a tax break for any net tuition paid during the calendar year). If you do not submit a social security number as part of the application process, we will inform the federal government that you have declined to provide this information to the College. Unfortunately, since our portal uses the last four digits of your social security number as part of our password process, we cannot issue access to the portal to a student that does not complete the social security data as part of the application process. If you have any questions, please contact Student Services at (908) 835-2300.
