Description
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology and its applications across various industries. Students will explore the principles of LiDAR data acquisition, processing, and analysis, with a focus on using LiDAR for topographic mapping, 3D modeling, vegetation analysis, and infrastructure assessment. Through hands-on experience with LiDAR systems and software, students will develop the skills to plan, execute, and interpret LiDAR-based projects. Emphasis will be placed on real-world applications, accuracy assessment, and integration with other geospatial technologies to solve complex challenges. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to leverage LiDAR technology and other advanced sensors effectively in professional settings.
